The Lebanese meat pie is know by two names in Lebanon depending on where you’re from and even on how it’s shaped.  The lahm b ajeen pie (لحم بعجين) is flat and round while the sfiha (صفيحة) is pinched in the corners and square.

Lebanese Meat Pie is traditionally served as a warm mezza or appetizer but it can absolutely hold it’s own and be the main event! Served with a bowl of Homemade Yogurt or yogurt drink called laban erran, lemon wedges, hot sauce and a platter of assorted vegetables or Fattoush {فتوش} – it would make for a delicious, nutritious and satisfying meal

We use our Basic Dough Recipe {عجين} to make this pie so make sure to print off a copy of that and have it handy! This recipe makes eight 7″ pies.

Which ever way you make this pie, round or square, big or small, it will be absolutely addicting. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!
